Birzeit University is located on about 750 dunums (750,000 sq. meters) on the outskirts of the town of Birzeit, about 20 kilometers (12.5 miles) north of Jerusalem and 7 kilometers (4.5 miles) north of Ramallah.
Birzeit's mountains are covered with olive trees and the campus has been landscaped to take advantage of the lovely views from its high hills.
Public transportation to the university is available from the city of Ramallah. The Ramallah - Birzeit shared taxi line operates from Irsal street (2 mins from Manara center) in the Ramallah downtown.
